We, the undersigned, believe that, just as investment in renewable and alternative energy resources helps increase the energy security of our nation, so does expanded domestic oil and natural gas exploration and production. We recognize that, as global competition for energy grows and as threats to disrupt America's energy supply continue to rise, the need for domestic oil and natural gas production grows. We support measures to increase the stability and security of our nation's energy supply through ongoing investment in alternative and renewable fuels, and through a commitment to increased domestic energy production. We call upon Congress to promote legislation that supports such growth and opens up America's vast, untapped domestic oil and natural gas resources.
