Let Congress Know the Proposed ESI-Medco Merger Harms Consumers

FTC approval of the proposed merger between Express Scripts and Medco would have serious consequences for consumers. The market capability would allow the combined company to create more restrictive pharmacy networks and incentivize patients to mail order. Additionally, the removal of a competitor from the marketplace will allow the company to raise prices on plan sponsors which will increase co-pays for patients.
