Visit with Your Representatives at Town Hall Meetings

When members of Congress return home for weekends or recess periods, legislators will often hold town hall meetings as a way to communicate with their constituents. Just as these town hall meetings provide a platform to inform voters of their Washington, DC agenda, they also give residents a stage to share concerns and priorities they may have with their elected officials.

Congress will be on recess during much of the month of August, and many representatives are scheduling town hall meetings over the next few weeks. You can find a current schedule of these meetings at the link below. This link will be updated once a week to add new meetings as they are scheduled, so be sure to check back often:

As a volunteer with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), these meetings provide you with an opportunity to call your representative's attention to matters affecting blood cancer patients.

During the August recess, please attend a town hall meeting in your congressional district and ask for support for increasing research funding at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the National Cancer Institute (NCI).
