During your State of the Union Address, you emphasized the importance of job creation and expressed your commitment to reviving the ailing economy. As an Energy Citizen, I applaud these intentions. But in order to make them a reality, I urge you to halt the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) plan to impose new greenhouse gas (GHG) regulations on U.S. consumers and businesses. Moving forward with the EPA's far-reaching GHG emissions regulations could kill existing jobs and hamper the creation of new jobs that Americans so desperately need. Thousands of businesses may have no choice but to cut production. Instead of investing in new growth, they will be forced to invest in new equipment simply to meet the EPA's stringent regulations. If jobs and economic recovery are your top priority, then this EPA plan must be rejected. I look forward to learning what action you take on this matter.
