SUMMARY
This weekend, the House of Representatives is scheduled to debate and vote on a revised health reform bill (HR 3962). The vote on passage is presently scheduled to occur tomorrow evening (Saturday, November 7), but may slip to Sunday, November 8. It is also possible that the House will also debate and vote on a companion bill (HR 3961) to permanently fix the "SGR" problem that now leaves physicians facing a 21% reduction in Medicare's annual payment update. At present, however, we believe that debate and votes on the SGR bill will occur during the week of November 16.
Please email your Representative to urge him or her to vote for passage of BOTH HR 3962 and HR 3961.
